SAFEHX™ is a three-fluid heat exchanger developed to enhance the operation of the SAFEHR® process. It delivers high heat transfer coefficients with a lower volume of safety fluid, optimizing energy recovery. A buffer fluid evaporates and condenses between the hot and cold sides, creating continuous internal convection for efficient latent heat exchange. This eliminates the need for an intermediate loop, reduces system size, and ensures full safety by preventing fluid mixing, making it ideal for hydrogen-handling applications.
